Bundeskriminalamt Receives Extensive Lists of Alleged IS Members from U.S. Intelligence
The Bundeskriminalamt (BKA) has obtained data on tens of thousands of suspected Islamic State (IS) members, provided by U.S. intelligence agencies.
According to reports from ‘Tagesschau’ and ‘Spiegel’, the information, sourced from devices seized during U.S. anti-terror operations in Syria and Iraq, includes over two million records detailing weapons distribution, monthly salaries, and personnel numbers of alleged terrorists. At least six individuals have been convicted by German courts, with investigations initiated in approximately 30 additional cases. Notably, a recent arrest in Leipzig involved an Iraqi asylum seeker identified through this data.
