Both are decorated athletes, with Khedira holding a World Cup medal and Leupolz a European Championship medal. Leupolz ended her active playing career in the summer of 2025 after a stint with FC Chelsea and was previously affiliated with Real Madrid, a club Khedira also played for. Since the birth of their first child in October 2022, Khedira has been involved in family life and now works as a TV expert for DAZN, while Leupolz is set to begin a full-time role focusing on female player care and development within the football sphere later this year.
