Ukraine Targets Russian E-commerce Giant in Drone Strikes to Disrupt Supply Chains

Ukraine’s drone commander Robert Browdi announced plans to escalate attacks on warehouses of the Russian online retailer Wildberries, citing its role in supplying military gear to Russian forces.

Major Robert Browdi, who oversees Ukraine’s drone warfare operations, confirmed intentions to intensify strikes on the logistics hubs of Wildberries, a prominent Russian e-commerce company. Browdi revealed his units had already targeted 24 warehouses and vowed to eliminate the remaining facilities, rendering the platform unable to operate within Russia. The online retailer reportedly processes up to 20 million daily orders, serving as a crucial supply chain network for both civilian goods and military equipment.

According to Browdi, Wildberries has been selling military supplies to Russian troops, making it a legitimate target in the ongoing conflict. He stated that the strikes are part of a broader strategy to disrupt everyday life in Russia and undermine the population’s sense of security. Attacks on fuel depots and essential services have also been used to limit conveniences and intensify the war’s impact on Russian civilians. Browdi expressed hope that such measures might lead to greater public scrutiny of the Kremlin’s actions.

Meanwhile, Browdi acknowledged the complexity of countering Russia’s ballistic missile launch sites, citing the need for advanced infrastructure such as extended internet connectivity. He disclosed Ukraine’s efforts to persuade Starlink to provide connectivity within certain Russian border zones to enhance drone operations. Browdi also issued a warning to NATO allies, urging them to adapt to rapidly advancing drone warfare technologies, which he described as a transformational force in modern military strategy.
