Manchester City striker Erling Haaland appears to have avoided his coach Pep Guardiola’s Christmas weight warning, posting an image on Instagram showing his weight at 94.4 kilograms. The 25-year-old Norwegian captioned the post “Alles gut!”.

Guardiola had previously cautioned his players against returning to training with excess weight after the holidays. He confirmed that the team was weighed before their match against West Ham United to establish a baseline.

The coach stated that players would be re-weighed on December 25th, and anyone who had gained more than three kilograms would “stay in Manchester and not travel to Nottingham” for the December 27th match. Haaland’s post suggests he is cleared to play.
