EU Commission Proposes Radical Simplification of Business Startups

نقلاً عن Bürokratie: 48 Stunden bis zum eigenen Unternehmen: EU-Kommission will Gründungen radikal vereinfachen

News Brief: The EU Commission has unveiled plans to introduce a new legal framework, ‘EU Inc.’, aimed at streamlining business startups across Europe within 48 hours. This initiative seeks to enhance competitiveness and attract investment.

In a bid to simplify and accelerate business formation, the EU Commission has proposed a new legal structure named ‘EU Inc.’, which would allow individuals to establish companies within 48 hours for a fee of just 100 euros. EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen emphasized the goal of creating a unified market by 2028, stating that time spent on paperwork detracts from innovation. The initiative aims to standardize business operations across member states, making it easier for investors who currently navigate 27 different company forms. This move addresses the EU’s lag behind the US in startup efficiency, where venture capital investment is significantly higher. Currently, only eight percent of global growth companies are based in the EU, compared to around 60 percent in the US.
