The party also advocates for the revival of nuclear energy and the continued use of coal and gas, opposing the phase-out of fossil fuels. Additionally, the AfD aims to eliminate subsidies for renewable energy and repeal several climate-related laws, including the Renewable Energy Sources Act and the Climate Protection Act.
