By 2030, the alliance estimates that approximately 300 kilometers of previously inactive rail lines could be operational again. The alliance’s managing director emphasized the importance of rail connectivity, particularly in rural areas, and urged the federal government to increase regional funding to support both the reactivation and subsequent operation of these lines.
