At Least Ten Dead in Russian Strikes on Sumy and Southern Ukraine
A series of Russian attacks have left at least ten people dead across Ukraine, including children.
In a devastating assault on the northern Ukrainian city of Sumy, Russian forces used glide bombs, resulting in at least four fatalities, including a five-year-old child and their mother, according to regional governor Oleh Hryhorow. The attack struck a busy area with residential buildings and shops, injuring 27 others.
In southeastern Ukraine, over 50 drone and artillery strikes led to three deaths in the Dnipropetrovsk region, with additional casualties reported in the city of Zaporizhzhia. The ongoing bombardment has intensified in Sumy, where Russian forces aim to establish a buffer zone. Meanwhile, a day of mourning was observed in Kyiv following a recent attack that killed at least 30 people.
