The state constitution allows up to three months for government formation, with the inaugural session of the newly elected parliament set for May 12. The Greens secured 30.2% of the vote, narrowly defeating the CDU at 29.7%, resulting in an equal distribution of 56 seats for both parties in the new parliament.
