A strong earthquake struck Taiwan on Saturday evening. The tremor occurred approximately 30 kilometers off the island’s coast.

The seismic activity was distinctly felt in northern Taiwan. Buildings in the capital, Taipei, swayed as a result of the quake.

This is not the first tremor this month; Taiwan has experienced several earthquakes in December.
