The hacking group APT28, associated with the Russian military intelligence agency GRU, has infiltrated vulnerable routers to obtain sensitive military and governmental information. The BfV confirmed instances of compromise and is currently conducting forensic investigations on affected devices. The agency noted a significant rise in espionage and sabotage activities directed at Germany, highlighting a shift towards more aggressive tactics by the attackers.
