Tado, a leading German start-up specializing in heating apps, has announced that it has achieved profitability for the first time since its inception 15 years ago. Founder Christian Deilmann revealed to Handelsblatt that the company crossed the profitability threshold in February and is committed to remaining sustainably profitable. Tado’s valuation reached a mid-three-digit million euro figure following a financing round that included investment from Japanese electronics giant Panasonic. Industry estimates suggest that Tado’s revenues were approximately 100 million euros last year. Deilmann expressed relief at reaching this milestone, stating, “We have worked 15 years for this achievement.” He noted that while it was theoretically possible to reach profitability sooner, significant investments were made to establish a substantial customer base across Europe from Germany.
