The FBI warns that these infiltrators may also engage in extortion, deploying malware and stealing sensitive data. Companies are advised to conduct face-to-face hiring processes and monitor network traffic to prevent such infiltrations. Recent incidents, including a conviction of an accomplice in the US for smuggling fake IT workers, highlight the growing threat posed by North Korean cybercrime activities.
