Vulcan Energy Resources Ltd has commenced civil construction at its Lionheart geothermal power plant in Germany, marking a significant step towards the integration of lithium production and renewable energy in Europe.
The Lionheart project, which aims to produce 24,000 tonnes of lithium hydroxide monohydrate annually, will also generate 275 GWh of renewable power and 560 GWh of heat per year over a 30-year lifespan.
