Wiesbaden Administrative Court Rejects AfD Evidence Requests
The Wiesbaden Administrative Court has dismissed over 280 evidence requests from the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, deeming them irrelevant to the ongoing proceedings.
The presiding judge characterized the allegations presented by the AfD as ‘mere assertions without basis.’ The party sought to question more than 50 witnesses regarding claims of infiltration by informants and political influence on its classification. In a prior expedited ruling in November 2023, the court affirmed the legality of the AfD’s classification for surveillance, although it noted that the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution and the Interior Ministry should not have disclosed this information publicly.
