Death Toll in Kyiv Rises to At Least 30 After Russian Strikes

A devastating Russian airstrike on Kyiv has resulted in at least 30 fatalities and numerous injuries.

Following recent Russian airstrikes on Kyiv, the death toll has risen to 30, according to Tymur Tkatschenko, head of the military administration of the Ukrainian capital. Ninety-one individuals have been reported injured as search and rescue operations continue in the heavily affected Darnizkyj district, where many victims are still believed to be trapped under rubble.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called for increased support from partner countries for air defense, stating that timely deliveries could have saved more lives. He emphasized the need for at least 140 Patriot missiles to effectively counter the assault, which involved 74 missiles and 496 drones launched by Moscow. The Ukrainian Air Force reported intercepting 476 drones and 48 missiles during the attack.
