Ramelow highlighted the significance of the protest date, July 3, marking the anniversary of the second Reich party congress of the NSDAP in 1926. He defended the right to express opinions, asserting that the AfD, as a legitimate party in the Bundestag, must hold its congress. He urged the police to ensure that all forms of protest remain peaceful.
