In his post on Truth Social, Trump referenced several countries, including the UK and Italy, and mentioned financial figures resembling a NATO report for 2025. However, he did not provide specific sources. While he claimed Germany’s contributions were significantly lower, NATO’s annual report indicates that Germany’s defense spending is set to rise by over 20% to €88.8 billion by 2025.
