NATO Unveils €140 Billion Support Package for Ukraine, Germany to Bear Largest Share

NATO plans to provide Ukraine with a substantial military aid package, with Germany expected to contribute the most.

NATO is set to announce a new military aid package for Ukraine, pledging at least €70 billion annually over the next two years, totaling €140 billion. This commitment comes as the U.S. has significantly reduced its support, placing the financial burden primarily on Germany.

During the upcoming NATO summit in Ankara, representatives from the 32 member states will finalize this agreement, which includes a significant EU aid package. Germany has already allocated €11.5 billion this year for military supplies, marking its highest contribution since the onset of the Russian invasion.
